but this time the last 45 minutes were important as I skipped the previous few hours.( I am planning on giving up or trudging through if I ever have that urge again.) LISTEN AT YOUR OWN RISK. I skipped most of the book! We all know how a HEA historical romance ends. is it just this performance? Was this a early affectation that she corrected? I'm obviously confused. I'm sure of it, I could not of missed hearing it, it is THAT bad!!! So. Even giggles ended up being a feminine Santa parrody! What really surprised me was that I had just finished a book which was beautifully narrated by the same performer and did not hear that flaw even once. WHAT?! I REALLY mean WHAT! I have never heard a more blatant performance mistake, forget one so often repeated that I cringed every time I thought a laugh was coming. But this performance seems a total aberration!!! I think I would have noticed before if every laugh sounded like Santa Claus in one form of HO HO HO or another. I usually like Laura Merlington as a narrator. 1 New York Times bestselling author Johanna Lindsey delivers first rate romance (Daily News) in this sparkling, passionate tale of an earl’s daughter who must convince a mysterious viscount to marry her and end his vendetta against her brother. I'm writing this review in a state of total confusion! Johanna Lindsey is great as usual, But that's not what this review is about.
